MEET THE ARTIST
Amy Vidra is a Sacramento based abstract artist creating multi-dimensional, mixed-media work including sculpture, fiber, and works on recycled or nontraditional materials. Her work explores identity and the narratives she hears, was told, or creates, from influences through family of origin, media, or society. Vidra’s work has been exhibited most recently at Manna Gallery in Oakland, CA, Verge Center for the Arts and Axis Gallery in Sacramento, CA, Pence Gallery in Davis, CA, Jen Tough Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, and Blueline Arts in Roseville, CA. She recently attended a fully awarded art residency at Jen Tough Gallery in Santa Fe. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography with a focus on sculpture from The Cleveland Institute of Art. Vidra currently is a resident artist with her studio at Verge Center for the Arts.
